I awoke before dawn to pack laundry the playground looked really neat in the predawn light.
One of many on-the-road shots. Pretty woods. (Sorry about the sideways portrait photos...)
We leave messages for the sweeps (designated final riders): "Congrats Sweeps / Level Up / +5 Gravel"
Stopped at a yard sale. The guy made a living, I think, by reselling stuff at this perpetual yard sale. Helen bought a pink pair of curdory coveralls to patch pants.
An abandoned gas station served as a lunch spot. The pumps must date back to the 70s or so. They looked cool.
One of the riders had a flat, so Helen and I pulled over for a ten-minute nap under a tree.
Wide-angle of the tree. Click on the image to view right side up.
For a while, at least. The rode was around 50 miles, and nothing really striking stuck out. Still a nice day.
