I realized I haven't uploaded many day-in-the-life photos. Here are the bikes on their tarps (to keep hosts floors clean)
Here's where we slept during orientation. Most churches give us a big room (or a bunch of rooms) and we all spread out.
Every morning we pack everyone's bag into the trailer. That's my job this week.
My view for most of the day: cue sheet, bike bag (chalk, plastic bag, stuff), cycle computer, and handlebars.
We started the day by biking to the Carolina coast to look over the harbor.
Mechanical issues have been a hallmark of the first few days. Between 30 bikes and zero mechanics, things go borky. Hanna's seat post sunk as she rode.
There are 30 humans on the trip. This is rider #31.
Pulling into Penopolis, 70 miles later
Swimming(ish) at the man made Penopolis lake.
This is what a perfect day looks like. Add one shower and enjoy.
Today we biked 70 miles (mostly flat) from Charleston to Pinopolis. The latter is a small town full of wealthy folks' houses.
